Lauren Evans

Owner and Head Coach

Coach Lauren Evans is an expert at blending the art and science of coaching. Being a wife, a mother to three, and a business owner, she has a great understanding of balancing life and training. Lauren has coached beginners all the way to elite level athletes.

Coach Evans was coached and mentored by Dr. Joe Vigil, one of the most accomplished running coaches in history.

  • ACE Certified Personal Trainer

  • Currently obtaining USATF Level 3 Certification

  • NHFS Interscholastic Coach

  • PTR Certified Tennis Instructor

  • USAC Level 3 Certified Coach

Coaching Accomplishments:

 

  • Coached hundreds of athletes -- from beginners to elite athletes -- to successful results

  • Former Head Coach of the Nature’s Bakery Elite Team

  • Coached 30 athletes to Boston Marathon Qualifying Standard

  • Guided several athletes to completion of their first Ironman, 70.3, ultra marathon, and marathon.

Athletic Accomplishments:

​

  • Two-sport (tennis and cross country ) NCAA Division I Scholarship Athlete at Furman University

  • Led tennis team to 3 NCAA Tournament Appearances

  • Named MVP of the Furman Tennis Team her senior year

  • Sub-3 Hour Marathon PR

  • Run distances from the 5K (18:11 at altitude) to the 50 Miler (3rd American River, 2014)

 

Coach Evans is most proud of the athletes who she helped recover from injury in order to help them reach a goal they never thought possible. In her individual coaching plans, she prioritizes communication and individuality, and she focuses on the strength, form, and mobility needed in order to train healthy.

 

A two-sport Division I athlete at Furman University, she was named MVP for the tennis team and was named runner of the month conference-wide for cross-country. Post-college, she has placed 3rd in the American River 50 Miler, run a sub-3:00 marathon, and won numerous local races from the 5k up through the half marathon distance. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, running with her border collies, and volunteering with local organizations.
